Working with the population is one of the key components of the Project for Sustainable Rural Development
On July 19-21, 2023, in Urganch, Khorezm region, a training was organized for the employees of the "Sustainable Village Development" project, experts and facilitators of the community assembly.
In 2023, as a result of the work carried out with the residents of 170 neighborhood assemblies in 20 districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Bukhara, Navoi and Khorezm regions, the priorities for improving local infrastructure were discussed and determined. Based on this, plans were developed for the radical renewal of the architectural appearance of the villages, the comprehensive development of the regions, the improvement and construction of road transport infrastructure, engineering and communication networks and social facilities, as well as the development of the population. as small projects that help increase people's incomes.
Within the framework of the joint project of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the UNDP "Sustainable Rural Development", Datze Gruberte, an international consultant, has prepared a manual for the development of a comprehensive plan for the development of society. efficiency of working with the population.
In order to discuss this manual and the updated methodology with the project experts, a three-day training was organized in Urganch with the participation of the author of the manual D. Gruberte.
As a result of this training, the participants became familiar with the principles, methods and tools of PRS development, as well as the characteristics of the work of facilitators, and now, thanks to the acquired knowledge, they will be able to use the manual to improve the software. improve skills and effectiveness in working with the population.
“This training gave the team of facilitators an understanding of what a Community Development Plan is and how it is structured. The coach shared his international experience with us. We discussed which of these could be applied and adapted to the conditions of Uzbekistan, and detailed the skills and methods of working with the population required by facilitators. The acquired knowledge, new approach and methods are very useful in work, said teacher Zuhra Babajonova from Khorezm region.
